Daniel joined Hilliard Investment Banking in 2017 after spending a year working within the manufacturing finance group at Ford Motor Company. Daniel provides research, financial modeling, and analytical support for M&A transactions and business valuation assignments. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Economics with a concentration in Mathematics from Oberlin College and a Master of Management degree from the University of Michigan Stephen M. Ross School of Business, where he graduated Beta Gamma Sigma.

Mr. Councill joined Hilliard Lyons in 2000. Previously he served as Director of the insurance industry investment banking group of Coopers & Lybrand Securities, LLC. Mr. Councill gained significant insurance industry experience while serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer for Life Partners Group, a life insurance holding company formed through a leveraged buyout sponsored by Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst.

He also has provided financial advisory services including merger, acquisition, and divestiture activity, corporate finance, and strategic planning in prior roles that included senior management positions with Prudential-Bache Capital Funding; Smith, Vicars & Co., Inc.; Warburg Paribas Becker; and BankAmerilease. Mr. Councill received his M.B.A. degree from the Colgate Darden Graduate School of Business Administration and his B.A. degree from the University of Virginia.

Mr. Barefoot joined Hilliard Lyons’ Investment Banking division in 2014 and provides research, financial modeling, presentation materials preparation, and analytical support for M&A transactions and business valuation assignments. His experience includes assurance services with a focus on financial institutions at Crowe Horwath, a top 10 national public accounting firm, and buy-side acquisitions analysis and due diligence with ResCare, a national managed healthcare company. Mr. Barefoot received his B.S. in Business, graduating with a double major in Finance and Accounting from Indiana University. Mr. Barefoot is a licensed CPA in Kentucky.

Mr. Gravitt has over 25 years of experience in business valuation, commercial and personal damages assessment, investigative accounting and financial advisory services. From 1990 through 2007, he was an executive with Crowe Horwath. m. His prior experience also includes a variety of financial management positions in private industry. Mr. Gravitt holds a Kentucky CPA certificate and has the following credentials: Certified Business Appraiser, Accredited in Business Valuation, Certified Fraud Examiner, and Certified Management Accountant. He received a degree in Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati and his MBA from the University of Louisville.

Mr. Mascarich joined Hilliard Lyons in December 2002. As a senior banker, Mr. Mascarich focuses his efforts on the sourcing and execution of middle market merger and acquisition and institutional private equity capital raising transactions. Prior to joining Hilliard Lyons, Mr. Mascarich served as a small business advisor with Greater Louisville Inc. At GLI, he worked closely with business owners, accountants, bankers and other professionals performing financial analysis, assisting in capital structure determinations and creating pro forma projections for start-up and existing ventures.

Mr. Mascarich began his career at Lexmark International, Inc. in technology development and engineering in their business printer division. Mr. Mascarich earned his M.B.A. from the University of Louisville with distinction and his B.S. degree in Chemistry from Centre College.

Mr. Sweeney rejoined Hilliard Lyons Investment Banking 1997, and again on 2010. Prior to joining Hilliard Lyons in 1997, Mr. Sweeney spent two years as a partner with Southern Capital Corporation, a Richmond-based private equity firm. Previously, he worked in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group of Morgan Stanley Investment Banking and with the FIG-Insurance Group at CS First Boston. Mr. Sweeney received his MBA from the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College, and his BA from Amherst College.

Mr. Whitt joined Hilliard Lyons in 2012 and is based in the Cincinnati Investment Banking office. Before joining the firm, Mr. Whitt served in senior management positions for a number of private equity backed portfolio companies in both the healthcare and technology industries.

He was also a principal for Alix Partners, a leading restructuring firm, where he served in significant restructuring and turnaround roles for WorldCom, DVI, ANC Rental, Chi-Chi’s Mexican Restaurants, and Fleming Companies. Mr. Whitt’s healthcare experience also includes serving as Director of Financial Operations for Vencor for its various business units. He is a CPA and has a BS in Economics from the University of Louisville and an MBA from Vanderbilt University’s Owen School.

Mr. Tyle joined Hilliard Lyons Investment Banking in 2016. He provides research, financial modeling, and analytical support for M&A transactions and business valuation assignments. He graduated with honors from The Johns Hopkins University, with a double major in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering and Natural Sciences, and a minor in Economics. He has received several accolades for his oncology research and academic performance. He is an alumnus of the United World College, and the co-founder of the Tyle Family Foundation, a non-profit that focuses on education for the underprivileged in India.
